That’s why I don’t like forcing you into poses. I want you guys to be yourselves around each other, have a laugh and enjoy your wedding. My approach to natural wedding photography is simple: I’ll be there with my camera, capturing what goes on.
A lot of my couples tell me I felt like another guest. Their families felt comfortable, nobody felt pressured, and we all had a good laugh. That’s probably the best compliment they could give me.

You’ve got your favourite people in one place. Go and spend time with them. Have another chat, laugh at the speeches and see who gets a bit too confident on the dance floor.
You don’t need to put on a performance for me. The little looks between you, your mates taking the piss, your family getting emotional: that’s the stuff I’m there for. For me, documentary wedding photography means capturing those moments as they happen, so your photos feel like you.
And when we take a few photos of just you two, I want you to feel like yourselves. You can have a laugh together without suddenly having to become models for the afternoon.
