Photographer. Firefighter. Dad.
Hi, I’m Fraser, the Hampshire wedding photographer behind The Captured Moments Co. I’m also a firefighter, dad to one and a bit of an adrenaline junkie.
Photography started as a hobby when I was going through a difficult patch in my life. I needed something to focus on, and picking up a camera gave me that. I started with landscapes and photos of my daughter, then gradually moved into portraits. About a year later, I photographed my first wedding for a friend. That was my way into wedding photography.
After leaving the army, photography helped me get outdoors, experience more of the world and meet some incredible people. What started as something to help me through a tough time became a much bigger part of my life.
I love getting to create art, but the people are just as much a part of why I do this. They’ve let me into their lives and trusted me to document them. Being invited to do that on a wedding day, with everyone they care about around them, is something I don’t take for granted.
My Approach
Beyond the Photos
If a buttonhole needs pinning, a dress needs fluffing or someone needs a bit of reassurance, I’m happy to help. Sometimes being your photographer means putting the camera down for a minute.
At one wedding, I somehow ended up with a group of kids following me around like my own little fan club. They were cheering me on and handing out high fives every time I took a photo. By the end of the day, the groom asked what I’d done to make so many new friends.
That’s the sort of atmosphere I love. Having a laugh with your guests and getting involved helps everyone feel at ease. You can get on with your day without feeling watched by a stranger with a camera.

I keep colours close to how they looked on the day, with a clean, natural finish. I want you to recognise yourselves and remember how it all felt.
